MucoAd™ is a non-toxic, non-irritating liquid polymer mucoadhesive carrier which prolongs the contact time between drug and mucosa, thus increasing bioavailability and efficacy of the delivered drug. The increased contact time of the drug to the mucosa, may require lower doses of the drug to be administered, lower frequency of administration or both, thus the desired therapeutic affect may be achieved with a lower incidence of adverse reactions.
